About The Course

This free training will offer you a comprehensive introduction to each of these unique styles, providing an overview of yin yoga and restorative yoga respectively. You will also receive more specialist knowledge on the deeper mechanisms of each of these practices, exploring the importance of fascial health in the context of yin yoga, as well as the role of the autonomic nervous system in the benefits of restorative yoga. This knowledge will deepen your appreciation of these two practices, but beyond this scope you will learn information you can also apply to other styles and teachings of yoga. Beyond theory, you will also have the opportunity to experience a practice of both yin and restorative yoga to feel the differences within your own body. Through this course, you can access lecture-style talks, contemporary research, and short sample practices that distinguish each style.

Eva Maxine HAMILTON

Trainer PRO, Senior Yoga Teacher

Passionate about yoga since youth, Eva has taught yoga professionally for twelve years (she was seventeen when she completed her 200-hr YTT). She is an international yoga educator, having lead 200-hr courses, specialized teacher trainings, and retreats in Canada, Scotland, Spain, Thailand, Mexico, and beyond. Her intention in teaching is to craft a supportive and nourishing energy for self-exploration. Her own practice is grounded in transforming feelings of anxiety into freedom. Her teaching attempts to help others to do the same. Eva specializes in offering continuing education for yoga teachers, particularly offering comprehensive trainings in yin yoga and restorative yoga. She also offers teachers education and resources in applied anatomy, myofascial release, yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and yoga for anxiety. She sometimes also offers mentorship and one- on-one support for yoga teachers to help them refine their skills, grow their confidence, and share their yoga. Eva's flow classes seek an attentive balance between mindful and functional alignment, without sacrificing the transformative state of flow. Yet, while she enjoys the creative possibilities of a flow-based practice, her passion is to help people release stress and anxiety to feel more at home in their bodies. Eva's gentle energy is best known for her restorative and yin practices. She has remained dedicated to her ongoing education in hatha, akhanda, yin, restorative, yoga tune up®, anatomy & therapeutics, Thai yoga massage and yoga for the nervous system. She loves the opportunity to draw on her religious studies degree from Queen's University to unpack yoga philosophy in an accessible and enjoyable way. Eva is now based in Portugal with her partner and their adopted pup, Freya, where they are slowly developing a yoga retreat at a vineyard in the Douro Valley to share with you all. Eva has cultivated an online class collection and many unique courses and resources which may be found at www.eva.yoga - connect with her there or on social media at @eva.maxine on Instagram or Eva.Yoga on Facebook.
