Sam BERNICE

Trainer Pro, Senior Yoga Teacher

My name is Sam I am the teacher and founder of Sam B Yoga, Sam B Yoga Teacher Training and The Children’s Yoga Foundation. Having over 20 years of experience in the practice and 2 X 200 hrs of Yoga Teacher Training in the Hatha and Sivananda traditions. In my teachings I infuse together all elements, techniques and practices, from the wide variety of disciplines drawn from attending years of CPD training and workshops. These include Sivananda with Charlotta Martinus, Kriya with Yogi Ashokananda, Vinyasa with Katy Appleton and Kerri Verna, Teaching intensives with Anna Ashby, Shunyata with Cat Alip-Douglas, Ashtanga with Kino MacGregor, Strala Yoga with Tara Stiles and 6 days studying the Roots of Hatha Yoga with Richard Rosen. “I am blessed and grateful for meeting all the inspirational Yoga Teachers who have passed their knowledge and wisdom of the practice to me. I will continue to pass on this to my students.“ Working as a Yoga and Educational specialist, I use my degree in psychology, 20 years of experience as a primary school teacher and qualifications in children’s and teen’s yoga and mindfulness, to teach children yoga in schools to a high standard. Every child matters and building the right foundations in a child’s development is essential, so I teach, support and educate them holistically, covering all elements of their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. I teach yoga within the curriculum to every child. The children’s yoga teacher training I offer specialises in teaching yoga in schools. ‘My vision is for yoga to be part of the curriculum so that every child is awarded the gift of this wonderful practice, a well-being tool-kit for modern life and moral philosophy to live by’. I support other children’s yoga teachers through The Children’s Yoga Foundation charity as well as offering mentoring to empower them and transform their teaching style to the professional standards needed for the education system.
